【 Test principle 】

Gram Stain was invented by the Danish physician Gram in 1884, when it was found that the cell wall of Gram-positive bacteria has a layer of peptidoglycan thicker than that of negative bacteria, which can be closely bound with crystal violet and is not easy to be removed by decolorization solution, on this basis, Gram stain solution reagents were formed. 

【 Storage Conditions and expiry date 】

The kit is stored at room temperature and is valid for two years.

【 Test method 】

The specimen was evenly coated on a clean slide, dried naturally, and fixed by flame; After cooling, add No. 1 liquid for 10 seconds, and then wash and shake dry; Add No. 2 liquid dye for 10 seconds, then wash and shake dry; Add No. 3 liquid to decolorize for 10~20 seconds, then wash, shake dry; Finally, redye with liquid No. 4 for 10 seconds, then wash, dry, microscopic examination.

【 Interpretation of test results 】

Gram-positive bacteria are purple; Gram-negative bacteria are red.

【 Note 】

1. This product should be used by professionals.

2 Carefully read the instruction manual before use, and use within the validity period;

3. After the reagent is used up, please cover it quickly to avoid volatilization.

4. When storing the kit, try to avoid high/low temperature environment and sunlight exposure;

5. When the room temperature is too low in winter, the dyeing time should be properly extended. 6, dyeing should be slightly adjusted according to what kind of specimen, smear thickness, etc.; When dyeing gynecological leukorrhea smear, the dyeing time should be slightly extended (not less than 10 seconds) to obtain better dyeing effect;

7, after the decolorization solution is used up, acetone can be used as a substitute decolorization solution, and the decolorization time can be slightly shorter.

8, after use, the waste should be disposed of according to the requirements of the hospital or environmental protection department;
